The Flavor of the Month

First of all, I need to thank Win Horan for recording this tune! I wrote it at the Augusta Heritage Festival's "Irish Week" in 1999. Mick Moloney had been using the phrase "he's the flavor of the month in Ireland" to describe Jerry Holland (who should be the flavor of the decade as far as writing tunes is concerned), and the phrase sounded right for a tune title, so I sat down and wrote this. Its based on a riff that high school and now college buddy of mine, Mark Kupets played on my banjo quite by accident. Hehe, seems some of the best things in life are accidents like that!
